The Project

The story of the project

From a passion for the Peugeot models of the 1980s and 1990s came a simple question: what if the key itself became a collectible object? Here are the five steps that led to the PEUGEOT BESPOKE KEY project.

  1. 01 · The heritage
  2. 02 · The design DNA
  3. 03 · The research — six proposals

01

The heritage

It all starts with unforgettable silhouettes: 205 GTI, 205 T16, 309, 405 T16… Cars that defined their era and still make enthusiasts' hearts beat faster. This project exists for them, and for the people who love them.

02

The design DNA

Before a single render, entire pages of sketches. Every line of the key draws on the design language of the Peugeot models of the era: nothing is left to chance.

Oblong shape

The characteristic silhouette of the original Peugeot keys, reinterpreted.

Three stripes

A nod to the three stripes that adorned the factory keys.

Body line

The car's waistline extends into the key's cutting line.

In the hand

Ergonomics studied so that the first quarter turn becomes an emotion.

03

The research — six proposals

From V1 to V6, the design was refined proposal after proposal. Click each version to follow the project's evolution.

V1

The starting point

Inspired by the 5-door 205 and the T16. First imagined as two parts, the key becomes a single piece: simplicity wins from the start.

04

The engineering

Once the shape was found, on to the material. 3D modeling, weight reduction, finishes: every detail is studied like on a racing car.

  • « Light is right »: a weight-reduction approach inspired by competition philosophy.
  • Paint finishes matched to the bodywork, with masking done by hand.
  • Engraved logos — GTI, SR, GL… — to stay as close as possible to each model.
  • Special editions explored, from the GTI to the rarest series.
05

The result

A key with a strong character, borrowing the codes of the iconic Peugeot models without copying any logo. A collectible object, designed for those who keep their icons alive.

Classic direction — concept render, not the final product

Sketches, renders and prototypes shown as research — they are neither the final product nor confirmed specifications. An independent project, not affiliated with Peugeot or Stellantis.
